About 6-4-3
Growing up less than a mile away from one another, Travis and Kyle were just little guys when they started playing Little League together. Baseball became their passion as the years passed by. They took batting lessons together, they played on the same select team. A love for baseball has always been something they’ve shared.
Now, as fathers and husbands, their families once again live less than a mile away from each other! Baseball is still a huge part of their lives as they coach their sons together on the same team.
6-4-3 Baseball was launched as a way to share their passion. Baseball is more than just a game…it’s a vehicle that helps teach important life lessons. We know that baseball is tough. We know it demands everything. If it was easy, everybody would do it.
Our Mascot
It was important to us to come up with a mascot. Someone who embodies the well-balanced ball player…someone who is physically tough, mentally resilient, but also confident and cool, and knows how to stay loose and have fun. We’re excited to introduce you to Gritty! First name Gritty, last name Baller! Sometimes Gritty is cool and blowing bubbles, sometimes he’s gritting his teeth and getting after it! Our motto is “STAY GRITTY”. We put it on our wristbands, it’s on the back of some of our hats and shirts. We hope to inspire ball players to give it their all and fortify their attitudes as they develop into being better players.
what does 6-4-3 mean?
It’s a double play! When it comes to keeping the scorebook in baseball, each position on the field has its own number associated to it. With a runner on 1st, if a SS fields a ground ball, tosses it to 2nd base for the force out, then the 2nd baseman turns and successfully throws the runner out at 1st base, the scorebook keeper would record that as a 6-4-3 double play!
Now you know!
